Korean Traditional Art Fest: Minhwa Workshop

November 11 | Macon, SoAL Lobby | 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM

MGA students, faculty, staff, and the local community are cordially invited to “Minhwa Workshop” as part of The Korean Traditional Art Fest. Students will have fun learning about the Korean traditional folk art "Minhwa" and painting a few samples.

Drawing inspiration from Korean traditional Minhwa and from the hugely successful animation K-Pop Demon Hunters, MGA art history professor Dr. Yookyoung Choi will introduce a brief history of Minhwa and lead the attendees to have hands-on experience of re-creating some of the traditional Minhwa images. There will also be a trivia game on Korean culture & traditional art, prizes, and Korean snacks while they last. This will be a fun, learning opportunity for the MGA and the local communities. See the attached flyer.

The event is free and open to the public. Sponsored by The Modern Languages Program, The Department of Media, Culture, & the Arts, and The School of Arts & Letters.
