Expanding Global Opportunities with New Exchange Partner in Finland

Middle Georgia State University has entered into a new student exchange partnership with Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences in Finland, creating another opportunity for MGA students to add an international experience to their education.

Under the new five-year agreement, MGA and Haaga-Helia may exchange up to four full-time students each academic year. The standard exchange period is one semester, although participation may be extended with approval from both institutions. Exchange students continue to pay tuition and required charges to their home institution and are exempt from tuition charged by the host institution for the approved exchange period. Students remain responsible for costs such as housing, meals, transportation, insurance, and other personal expenses.

The partnership initially identifies opportunities in business administration, information technology, aviation and aviation management, media and communication, sport management and coaching, and English, with the possibility of adding other mutually approved areas. Students must submit an application of interest to the Office of Study Abroad (International Education) and be nominated by MGA. Students must meet the academic and other eligibility requirements established for the exchange. Courses offered to MGA students at Haaga-Helia will be spoken in English.

Additional information about exchange opportunities, eligibility, application procedures, and future availability will be shared through MGA Study Abroad as the partnership is implemented.
