As of July 1st, the Office of Marketing & Communications will be aligned with and reporting to the Office of President, rather than the Division of Enrollment Management. This administrative realignment reflects our evolution to a more branded and identifiable institution and the emergence of robust and systematic enrollment management strategies. Additionally, this new alignment represents the best common practice for state universities in the USG, and will enable MGA to refine its institutional messaging – both internally and externally. Continued support to enrollment functions will remain a critical, core aspect of MarComm’s work going forward.
I thank VP Jenn Stenander and Chief MarComm Officer Cheryl Carty, and their respective teams, for collaborating and jointly developing a transition plan to ensure that both EM and MarComm continue to provide outstanding service to the University community in FY22 and beyond.
