MGA Hosts Arbor Day Celebration & Tree Planting

Thank you to everyone who attended the Arbor Day celebration and tree planting on the Macon Campus, hosted by the facilities department. University representatives planted a deodar cedar near the tennis courts. The annual tree planting event helps MGA maintain its Tree Campus USA designation. Tree Campus USA is a program founded by the Arbor Day Foundation to recognize colleges and universities that effectively manage trees and engage students in participating in campus beautification and educating them on environmental issues.

The deodar cedar grows to a height of 40-70’ and a spread of 20-40’ at maturity. Here’s hoping future generations of students will enjoy its grace and elegance in the years to come.
