The 2027 Georgia Legislative Internship Program offers junior and senior students of all majors a full-time, paid opportunity with a weekly stipend to gain hands-on experience at the State Capitol during the legislative session (January to April). Interns earn academic credit while working alongside government leaders in the Georgia House of Representatives and Senate to track bills, provide constituent services, and meet with voters and lobbyists.

Application Details:

  • Open to all enrolled juniors and seniors from any major who can commit to full-time work in Atlanta.
  • Completed applications must be emailed to Dr. Christopher Lawrence (christopher.lawrence@mga.edu) by October 7, 2026.
  • Candidates will be notified in mid-October, and selected finalists will interview in person at the Capitol the week of October 19–23.
  • Academic credit varies by major and should be arranged with your advisor or department chair upon acceptance.
