Blake's Take: A Record-Breaking Moment for MGA

Dear MGA Community,

For the first time ever, Middle Georgia State University’s enrollment has topped 10,000 students, reaching a record-breaking 10,070. This milestone reflects the University’s growing momentum and the increasing number of students choosing MGA to pursue their dreams and build their futures.

That achievement belongs first and foremost to our students. We are grateful to every student who has chosen MGA and entrusted us with their education. We are equally thankful to the faculty and staff whose dedication, hard work, and commitment to student success have helped make this moment possible.

This record enrollment comes at a time when MGA has been the recipient of several exciting investments that will strengthen our ability to serve students. In recent weeks, we have secured nearly $3.5 million in congressionally directed spending to expand aviation training opportunities and a nearly $3 million grant for our COMPASS initiative to enhance student success and retention efforts. Building on this momentum, we look forward to sharing additional grant and funding awards in the months ahead as growing investment in MGA continues to expand opportunities for our students.

These investments represent more than funding. They reflect growing confidence in our students and in MGA's ability to help them succeed. While reaching more than 10,000 students is a historic moment, our focus remains on helping every student who chooses MGA to thrive, persist, and graduate. Encouragingly, our retention rate has reached its highest level in a decade. Reaching this milestone is worth celebrating, but it also calls us to remain focused on ensuring every student has the support, resources, and opportunities needed to succeed on their Path to Knighthood.

Thank you for being part of this remarkable chapter in MGA's history. Together, we are building on this momentum to create even greater opportunities for our students and expand MGA's impact across Middle Georgia for years to come.

Go Knights!

Chris
